The role will address diverse user problems, including managing compute usage, integrating AI code assistants, application publishing workflows, and designing APIs. You will contribute to long-term product vision, lead user research, and collaborate closely with engineers to execute design concepts across programmatic and graphical interfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Shape the user experience across product surfaces, including both graphical and programmatic interfaces.
  • Research existing and emerging best practices in HCI and UX.
  • Apply new technologies and tools to improve and accelerate the design process.
  • Provide a portfolio demonstrating two design projects and artifacts from the full project lifecycle, such as user research, personas, sketches, user journeys, task flows, wireframes, storyboards, and success metrics.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in HCI, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, Visual Communication, or a related design field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in several of the following areas: user research, complex user workflows, service design, product design, interaction design, UI and visual design, and prototyping.
  • Familiarity with core concepts and interaction design challenges related to cloud computing and IDEs.
  • Demonstrated experience applying standard user-centered research and design practices and tools to challenging design problems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Curiosity and aptitude for researching HCI and UX best practices.
  • Financial domain experience is advantageous but not essential.

Benefits

The compensation package may include merit increases, incentive compensation, paid holidays, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, short- and long-term disability benefits, 401(k) matching, life insurance, and wellness programs. Salary is stated as $160,000–$210,000 USD annually, plus benefits and bonus.
