Details

The AI Deployment Engineering team helps developers and enterprises safely and effectively deploy OpenAI technologies in production. The team acts as a trusted technical advisor to customers, identifying high-value use cases, designing practical architectures, and moving solutions from prototype to durable deployment.

Cybersecurity is a key domain for AI deployment, with use cases spanning code, logs, infrastructure, tickets, alerts, and vulnerability data. This role partners with customers to evaluate, validate, and safely deploy AI systems in security-critical workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for AI-enabled cybersecurity workflows with strategic customers.
  • Work with CISOs, security executives, application security leaders, SOC teams, security engineering teams, and security practitioners.
  • Lead discovery across application security, DevSecOps, vulnerability management, SOC and incident response, detection engineering, red teaming, cloud security, identity, and GRC automation.
  • Build and deliver customer-facing demos, prototypes, workshops, proofs of concept, and reference architectures using OpenAI APIs, Codex, agents, scripts, CLIs, GitHub workflows, CI/CD systems, logs, tickets, scanners, and common security tools.
  • Scope pilots with clear success criteria, data requirements, workflow integrations, evaluation methods, security constraints, safety boundaries, and human approval points.
  • Advise customers on safe implementation patterns, including tool and function calling, structured outputs, retrieval, sandboxing, data handling, guardrails, telemetry, auditability, and approval-gated side effects.
  • Translate between CISO-level outcomes and practitioner-level implementation details.
  • Create reusable field assets, including demo narratives, playbooks, FAQs, objection handling, qualification guides, assessment templates, and competitive positioning.
  • Provide feedback to Product, Engineering, Research, Security, and go-to-market teams based on customer requirements, blockers, product gaps, and emerging cybersecurity workflows.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, Engineering, Research, and Security.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical consulting, solutions engineering, security architecture, cyber advisory, deployment engineering, professional services, or equivalent customer-facing technical work.
  • Strong cybersecurity expertise in one or more areas, such as application security, cloud security, identity, vulnerability management, secure SDLC, incident response, detection engineering, threat intelligence, red teaming, or security architecture.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with CISOs, CTOs, security executives, engineering leaders, and highly technical security practitioners.
  • Hands-on experience building prototypes or production systems with APIs, Python or JavaScript, agents, scripts, CLIs, GitHub workflows, CI/CD systems, logs, tickets, scanners, or other common security tooling.
  • Understanding of AI workflow design using retrieval, structured outputs, tool use, evaluations, guardrails, telemetry, sandboxing, and human-in-the-loop review.
  • Ability to scope pilots from ambiguous customer problems, including success metrics, required data, workflow integrations, evaluation criteria, deployment assumptions, and decision gates.
  • Evidence-first security judgment, including validating findings, separating true positives from noise, documenting assumptions, and avoiding overstated model or security claims.
  • Ability to own problems end-to-end, manage multiple concurrent customer projects, and balance hands-on work with reusable leverage for the broader field.
  • Humble attitude, eagerness to help colleagues, and commitment to customer and team success.

Benefits

  • Equity, performance-related bonuses for eligible employees, and comprehensive benefits.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance, with employer contributions to Health Savings Accounts.
  • Pre-tax flexible spending and commuter accounts.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match.
  • Paid parental, medical, and caregiver leave.
  • Paid time off, company holidays, office closures, and paid sick or safe time.
  • Mental health and wellness support.
  • Employer-paid basic life and disability coverage.
  • Annual learning and development stipend.
  • Daily office meals and eligible meal delivery credits.
  • Relocation support for eligible employees.
  • Additional benefits may include charitable donation matching and wellness stipends.
