Details

Groq is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer, Business Systems & Integrations to architect, build, and scale the core software engines connecting physical AI infrastructure operations with enterprise financial and business platforms.

This is a software engineering position focused on writing production code, establishing system architectures, building production APIs, and implementing automated data pipelines. The role will bridge physical infrastructure lifecycles—including servers, racks, network inventory, and spare parts—with Groq's financial ledger in NetSuite.

Responsibilities

Architectural Ownership and Systems Engineering

  • Architect, develop, and maintain high-throughput, production-grade microservices and API integrations connecting NetSuite ERP with logistics, warehouse, data center management, and procurement systems.
  • Design data models and internal software tools, including mobile asset-scanning applications, to manage physical hardware tracking across assembly, deployment, maintenance, and financial depreciation.
  • Dedicate 60–70% of capacity to hands-on software development using Python, Go, or modern TypeScript/JavaScript ecosystems.
  • Resolve complex schema and state mismatches across disparate operational systems while ensuring strict data integrity and transactional consistency in NetSuite.

AI, Automation, and Production Reliability

  • Architect automation workflows using LLM APIs, AI agents, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to support automated reconciliation, document parsing, and exception handling with strict verification controls.
  • Own system reliability, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, access security, audit logs, and monitoring for production software assets serving internal business customers.
  • Translate ambiguous operational and financial objectives into concrete software system specifications.
  • Establish architectural standards for business systems engineering at Groq.

Requirements

Core Qualifications

  • 6–8+ years of dedicated software engineering experience designing, building, and operating production services and backend applications.
  • Advanced expertise in Python, Go, or comparable object-oriented or functional programming languages.
  • Mastery of SQL and relational database modeling.
  • Proven experience architecting scalable RESTful APIs, webhooks, microservices, and asynchronous event-driven integration pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience developing against ERP platforms, preferably NetSuite through SuiteTalk, REST Web Services, or SuiteScript.
  • Ability to operate at an L6/L7 Staff level by independently designing resilient technical approaches for broadly scoped and ambiguous business problems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building software engines for physical infrastructure, hardware supply chains, inventory management, or data center logistics.
  • Understanding of accounting flows including fixed assets, inventory capitalization, depreciation, and SOX compliance controls.
  • Experience using modern AI developer tooling, LLM integration patterns, or agentic frameworks in production environments.
  • Exposure to internal tooling frameworks such as Retool or custom React/Node.js dashboards.

Compensation

The total cash salary range is $270,400–$318,100 per year, inclusive of potential bonus value. Individual placement depends on geographic location, experience, skills, and alignment with internal compensation standards. This range applies to candidates located in the United States. Compensation for international candidates varies according to local market dynamics. Groq also offers a Long-Term Incentive Program and employee benefits.

Additional Information

This position may require access to technology or information subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations. Candidates must meet applicable citizenship, residency, or export license eligibility criteria. International candidates must meet all relevant export control and local legal requirements.
