Details
Anthropic is seeking an AI Operations Engineer to design, build, and run agentic workflows for its Partner Experience team. The role focuses on Claude-powered agents and automations that streamline partner applications, communications, data synchronization, deal and enablement tracking, and routine operational work.
This is a hands-on builder role involving weekly automation releases, production ownership, operational monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Design and build agentic workflows using Claude, MCP connectors, and API integrations for partner application triage, onboarding, deal registration, certification tracking, partner communications, and reporting.
- Integrate workflows with the partner portal, CRM, enablement stack, finance systems, and database systems, consuming and writing data to systems of record.
- Convert recurring manual work into reliable, monitored automations by defining workflows, testing against real cases, adding guardrails and human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and documenting operations.
- Own error handling, edge cases, escalation paths, and ongoing workflow updates as partner processes change.
- Collaborate with partner managers to identify high-friction workflows and deliver working prototypes quickly.
- Establish reusable skills, prompts, connectors, and playbooks to accelerate future workflow development.
- Teach the broader team to self-serve on simpler automations.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building with LLMs and agentic tooling, including prompt and workflow design, tool or function calling, MCP or comparable integration frameworks, and agent output evaluation.
- Experience working across APIs and business systems such as Salesforce or other CRMs, PRM or partner portals, LMS and certification platforms, spreadsheet-based tools, Slack, and email.
- Ability to script integrations using Python or JavaScript.
- Strong judgment regarding automation risk, including determining which steps agents can perform autonomously, which require human checkpoints, and how to design graceful failure handling.
- Ability to analyze messy manual workflows, identify bottlenecks, and redesign processes rather than simply automating them unchanged.
- Clear written communication and the ability to document systems and workflows.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in operations engineering, solutions engineering, business systems, RevOps, or a similar build-focused role, ideally supporting partner, sales, or customer success organizations.
- Experience in partner or channel operations, including deal registration, MDF or co-sell programs, partner tiering, and certification pipelines.
- Experience shipping internal AI tools or automations that remain in production.
- Familiarity with the Claude API, Claude Code, or agent frameworks.
- Experience building custom MCP servers.
Benefits
Anthropic offers competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and an office environment for collaboration.
Logistics
Staff are currently expected to work from an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time, although some roles may require more office time. Anthropic sponsors visas and will make reasonable efforts to obtain a visa for candidates who receive an offer, with support from an immigration lawyer.
