Details
As a member of Anthropic’s Applied AI team, you will serve as a pre-sales architect and trusted technical advisor to national security and defense agencies. You will help customers understand Claude’s value and design solutions to integrate and deploy Claude within their technology stacks while maintaining high standards for safety and reliability.
Working with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams, you will guide customers from technical discovery and evaluation through deployment. You will design scalable LLM solutions, develop evaluation frameworks, and help organizations maximize the value of Claude.
Responsibilities
- Partner with account executives to understand customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions aligned with business objectives and implementation needs.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor throughout the Claude adoption journey, from discovery and initial evaluation through deployment.
- Coordinate across internal teams and stakeholders to drive customer success.
- Support customers building with Claude Code, the Claude API, and Claude for Enterprise.
- Create and deliver technical content for engineering, development, business, and executive audiences.
- Guide technical architecture decisions and help customers integrate Claude into existing technology stacks.
- Help customers develop evaluation frameworks to measure Claude’s performance for specific use cases.
- Identify common integration patterns and provide insights to Product and Engineering teams.
- Travel frequently to customer sites for workshops, technical deep dives, and relationship building.
- Maintain strong knowledge of current LLM capabilities and implementation patterns.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Prior experience working with US national security, defense, or intelligence agencies.
- At least 5 years of experience in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Account Manager.
- Experience navigating complex buying cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills with C-suite executives, engineering and IT teams, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to translate customer requirements between technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with Python.
- Familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools, or a background in machine learning or data science.
- Ability to collaborate across organizations, work through trade-offs, and balance competing priorities.
- Interest in teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed.
- Passion for using technology safely and beneficially to advance safe AI systems.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. The required field of study should be relevant to the role through coursework, training, or professional experience.
