Details

Join the Core Team to build highly scalable, resilient, and secure backend services for privacy and security products, including Threat Protection Pro and the NordLynx protocol. The role involves developing software used by millions of people to improve their online security, privacy, and control.

Responsibilities

Design and develop highly scalable, resilient, and secure microservices.
Write high-quality, tested, maintainable, and performant code.
Collaborate with team members, QA, DevOps, and security teams.
Ship new features and fixes successfully and on time.
Create technical designs and write documentation.
Perform R&D operations and solve new and challenging problems.
Mentor colleagues and provide technical guidance when needed.
Demonstrate ownership of tasks from start to finish.
Continuously learn and grow professionally.

Requirements

In-depth knowledge of Go and/or PHP.
Proven experience building and integrating REST API microservices.
Knowledge of sound system design patterns.
Knowledge of clean code design patterns and object-oriented programming principles.
Deep knowledge of relational databases, preferably MySQL.
Good working knowledge of NoSQL databases, preferably Redis.
Experience with message queues, preferably RabbitMQ.
Experience working with Git and source code repositories, preferably GitLab.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Integrity and an ownership mindset.

Bonus Qualifications

Higher education in IT, engineering, or another STEM field.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with client-side programming for web or mobile applications.
DevOps or IT administration experience.
An active GitHub account with code examples.
