Details

Airbnb is looking for a Business Operations and Growth Lead to scale community growth and optimization-focused programs within the Chief Business Officer organization.

This role sits within the Global Markets Team, which ensures Airbnb is locally relevant and helps regions plan and execute growth strategies across supply, demand, and other surfaces.

Responsibilities

Align all functions to achieve Americas’s regional business objectives in partnership with the Director, Regional Business Operations and Growth.
Own the conception, execution, and measurement of cross-functional initiatives end-to-end, including:
- defining a crisp problem statement
- articulating the ideal solution
- identifying key dependencies blocking that solution
- partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve the solution
- spanning initiatives across demand, supply, and regulatory surfaces
Drive regular business operation meetings and initiate meaningful conversations:
- lead weekly meetings with cross-functional project teams (field & online operations, marketing, product, legal) to ensure initiatives are on track
Use available data sources and tools (internal and external) to analyze macro and micro trends, and present analysis, insights, and actionable plans to Airbnb country and regional leadership to drive business decisions.
Assist the Regional Director and Regional BizOps Director in owning the performance narrative for key metrics and delivering the story to senior leaders in weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews.

Requirements

Minimum of 10+ years of work experience, ideally with combined exposure to:
- data-modeling
- business analytics
- project management in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment
Bias to action and ability to own a project from conception through post-mortem.
Ability to work in uncertainty and ambiguity—create clarity from chaos.
Familiarity with AI, AI data analysis and AI tools is an asset.
World-class written and verbal communication, able to present at all levels succinctly and clearly.
Proven track record of storytelling, influencing, and rallying cross-functional stakeholders using qualitative and quantitative insights.
Ability to dive into details to drive execution and zoom out to contextualize recommendations within broader company strategy.
Strong multi-tasking and coordination skills across various functions to achieve project goals.
Impeccable organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to document processes & decisions.
Experience implementing and scaling initiatives across globally dispersed teams.
Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments.
Hands-on approach—getting things done fast.
Comfort manipulating large datasets in Excel is a must; SQL proficiency strongly preferred.
