Bloomberg is hiring experienced risk professionals to join its Enterprise Risk Services (ERS) team as Risk Services Specialists. The team provides premium, high-touch support to strategic buy-side clients using Bloomberg's Multi-Asset Risk System (MARS), BVAL OTC, derivatives data, valuation services, and related risk workflows.
The role combines risk expertise, product knowledge, client partnership, and commercial impact. The specialist will advise risk managers, treasury teams, and senior stakeholders; optimize workflows; support adoption of MARS and ERS services; contribute to sales initiatives; and provide feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Client Partnership and Service Excellence
- Act as a primary point of contact for strategic ERS clients.
- Deliver a high-touch, consultative client experience.
- Build trusted relationships across client organizations.
- Provide tailored guidance on risk workflows and best practices.
- Identify client needs, anticipate challenges, and deliver solutions through chat, tickets, calls, and on-site engagements.
Product and Domain Expertise
- Develop deep expertise in MARS, BVAL OTC, and related workflows across asset classes.
- Stay current on market developments and regulatory changes.
- Translate market and regulatory developments into actionable client insights.
- Help clients interpret complex risk analytics and implement best-practice approaches.
Commercial Impact and Growth Enablement
- Partner with Sales to support revenue generation, identify expansion opportunities, and contribute to client engagements.
- Drive adoption of ERS services and advanced platform capabilities.
- Provide structured client feedback and market intelligence to Product and Engineering teams.
Operational Excellence and Innovation
- Lead onboarding of new workflows and use cases.
- Ensure seamless client integration.
- Identify process gaps and introduce scalable solutions to improve efficiency and service quality.
- Manage client communications during incidents and escalations.
Client Ownership and Delivery
- Own the end-to-end client experience for a portfolio of ERS clients on the MARS platform.
- Advise clients on risk analytics, derivatives valuation, and portfolio workflows.
- Build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships across front office, risk, and operations teams.
- Lead client training sessions, workshops, and strategic reviews.
- Manage escalations and ensure timely, high-quality resolution.
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to improve client outcomes and platform performance.
- Translate client needs into actionable product feedback and commercial opportunities.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in financial services or a financial technology company.
- Experience with derivatives on the buy-side, sell-side, or within a vendor supporting derivatives market data or risk analytics tools.
- Experience building relationships with technical users, traders, product managers, and senior leadership.
- Strong product, technical, and market knowledge, with the ability to apply it in a client-facing environment.
- Excellent client service and communication skills.
- Ability to contribute to product testing, implementation, and project-based work.
- Strong prioritization and multitasking skills.
- Proactive, collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-oriented approach.
- Demonstrated career progression and impact in previous roles.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of risk management practices and derivatives valuation.
- CFA or FRM designation.
- Experience with mortgages, including MBS, CMBS, RMBS, TBAs, CLOs, and pools, along with prepayment modeling.
- Familiarity with FRTB, SIMM, and SA-CCR regulatory frameworks.
- Interest in technology and experience with Python or other programming languages.
- Prior experience using Bloomberg products.
- Spanish fluency.
Benefits
The salary range is USD 120,000–150,000 annually, plus benefits and bonus.
