Details
NVIDIA is seeking a highly motivated and creative embedded software engineer to join the GPU Software team. The role involves designing key aspects of the RISC-V BSP package used across NVIDIA GPUs and working in an environment involving complex software and hardware designs.
Responsibilities
- Define, design, develop, and verify features for next-generation RISC-V controllers on NVIDIA GPUs.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers and software engineers.
- Follow devices through the full development process, from development to customer desktops, notebooks, workstations, and gaming consoles.
- Participate in early modeling and simulation activities required to develop NVIDIA products.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with globally distributed teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8 or more years of meaningful software development experience, particularly with embedded systems.
- Hands-on technical background with excellent C programming skills.
- Experience developing embedded software and device drivers.
- Familiarity with computer system architecture and microprocessor and microcontroller fundamentals, including caches, buses, memory controllers, and DMA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the RISC-V architecture.
- Experience with the inner workings of toolchains such as GCC and GDB.
- Background in embedded-system software concepts, including RTOS and overlay programming models.
- Experience with simulation, emulation, and the hardware development cycle.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
