Details

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. The APAC & EMEA Cards team powers the processing of hundreds of billions of dollars in card payments annually across Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East. The team enables users to integrate with Stripe once and accept payments across an expanding set of card networks.

As Engineering Manager, you will help expand Stripe’s global payments network and deliver a best-in-class card payments experience in these regions. You will make strategic, product, and technical decisions for card payments and contribute to Stripe-wide engineering initiatives.

Responsibilities

Work with Stripe leaders to define the card payments strategy for APAC and EMEA.
Develop engineers and help them advance in their careers.
Empower the engineering team to achieve high technical productivity, reliability, and simplicity.
Manage processes that help the team perform effectively and collaborate with the rest of Stripe.
Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Stripe’s engineering management team.
Recruit engineers in collaboration with Stripe’s recruiting team.
Provide technical guidance on architecture and product decisions.
Promote a healthy, supportive, and challenging work environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field.
At least 3 years of Engineering Management experience.
At least 7 years of experience in a Software Engineering role.
Demonstrated ability to define and drive complex initiatives or projects.
Experience hiring top talent and building diverse, high-performing teams.
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
Technical understanding sufficient to engage engineers on architecture and product decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with payments-related products.
Experience working in global and cross-regional environments.
Experience using AI tools to improve team execution, quality, and overall effectiveness.
