Who We Are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Stripe’s mission is to increase the GDP of the internet and put the global economy within everyone’s reach.
About the Team
As part of the Connect Design team, you’ll lead product development for complex users on Stripe, including marketplaces such as DoorDash and Lyft and platforms such as Shopify and Woo. You’ll drive the vision for how marketplaces and platforms manage risk and compliance for their businesses and users in the United States and internationally. You’ll work with other designers to define the future of the experience for Connect users on the dashboard.
You’ll use a broad range of product design skills, including user interface design, user experience and interaction design, and prototyping. You’ll be responsible for deeply understanding users and product strategy to design and advocate for a high-quality product experience.
Responsibilities
The Connect Risk product design team creates experiences that help platforms and marketplaces identify, understand, and manage risk across their connected accounts. The team works on tools that protect platforms from fraud and credit losses while providing visibility and control over risk operations, including account reviews, risk controls, fraud insights, underwriting, reserves, and the ability to pause payments or payouts.
Designing for Connect Risk means supporting two audiences: platforms managing risk and the connected businesses affected by risk decisions. The work spans onboarding, verification, ongoing monitoring, interventions, remediation, and support across Stripe-hosted, embedded, and API-based experiences. Designers must make complex risk decisions understandable and actionable while balancing loss prevention, regulatory and technical constraints, platform control, and a low-friction user experience.
