Details

The ChatGPT Learning team builds next-generation learning experiences inside ChatGPT. The team works at the intersection of product engineering, design, AI research, and education to create learning tools for a global audience.

As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will design and build product experiences that help millions of people learn with ChatGPT. You will work across user-facing interfaces and backend services, collaborate with researchers and platform teams, and translate advances in AI into real-world consumer products.

Responsibilities

Build end-to-end product experiences that help people learn with ChatGPT.
Design and implement multimodal capabilities involving text, images, voice, and interactive interfaces.
Develop scalable backend services and APIs that power learning features across ChatGPT.
Partner with product managers, designers, researchers, and engineers to prototype and ship ideas quickly.
Improve the performance, reliability, and usability of learning experiences across ChatGPT surfaces.
Iterate on features using experimentation and user feedback.
Own features from concept through production.

Requirements

Experience building high-quality consumer product experiences across the full stack.
Experience with modern web technologies such as React and TypeScript.
Experience developing backend services using Python, Node.js, or similar technologies.
Strong product engineering instincts and a high bar for user experience quality.
Ability to tackle ambiguous problems and shape them into clear product solutions.
Experience with AI-powered applications or LLM-based systems.
Experience building interactive educational tools or learning products is relevant.
Interest in improving access to education and expanding opportunities for learners worldwide.

Work Arrangement

This role is based in San Francisco or New York City.
Hybrid work model with 3 days per week in the office.

Base salary: $185,000–$490,000 USD per year.
