Integration Engineer (Chicago)

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Its Professional Services team works with strategic users on high-visibility projects, providing technical expertise to accelerate customer knowledge, solution design, and integrations with Stripe. This role leads strategic conversations and develops plans that transform payments and financial infrastructure for leading enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architecture, and Implementation teams to drive client engagement, customer wins, and Professional Services revenue.
• Plan and execute integration engineering end to end, from high-level architecture through coding.
• Explain technical concepts and how Stripe works from both a product-feature and API-architecture perspective.
• Educate users and the developer community about Stripe's value proposition, best practices, and new technical developments.
• Serve as the primary ongoing technical point of contact for the technical teams of major users and partners.
• Stay current with Stripe technologies and software products, and demonstrate technical thought leadership through whitepapers, conferences, and other industry events.
• Provide recommendations, feedback, and best practices to product and engineering teams.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in a software engineering or integration engineering role.
• Comfort with code-level debugging involving both Stripe code and user code.
• Ability to discuss technical concepts and explain Stripe's product features and API architecture.
• A user-first approach and empathy for users.
• Confidence and comfort working with customers.
• Strong generalist technical experience.
