We are looking for an enthusiastic GenAI Engineer professional to join the Intelligent Automation Team at Booking.com. The team supports the company's growing portfolio of automation initiatives and operates as a service provider across business areas with a high degree of autonomy and entrepreneurship.

Requirements

Hands-on experience developing and deploying GenAI and agentic applications at scale.
Experience designing AI applications with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
Backend development experience with Python, FastAPI, Node.js, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
Experience building end-to-end, production-grade applications.
Knowledge of vectors, chunking, and embedding strategies for GenAI RAG applications.
Knowledge-graph-grounded AI answering techniques for managing hallucinations.
Experience managing evaluations and drift for agentic applications.
Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agentic frameworks.
Experience building skills using Skill.md and agent specifications in harness engineering.
Experience building custom MCPs and using out-of-the-box MCPs.
Data engineering experience, including advanced SQL, Snowflake, and REST APIs.
Infrastructure experience with AWS, including RDS, EC2, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and Lambda.
Experience deploying GenAI applications with Docker, Kubernetes, Git, and GitHub; advanced Kubernetes experience is required.
Observability and monitoring experience with Arize, Grafana, Loki, Mimir, and Prometheus.
Familiarity with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar IDEs.
Proficiency with core Python libraries.
Ability to design, implement, and maintain DAGs, operators, sensors, and connections, including managing retries, SLAs, and backfills.
Experience with secrets and authorization tools such as Vault, Passport, and Okta.
Exposure to Terraform code for deploying AWS infrastructure is desirable.
