Are you analytical and able to tell the story behind the numbers? The Enterprise Risk Reporting team at ABN AMRO Clearing Bank is looking for an intern to help develop an enhanced, data-driven enterprise risk report, automate the reporting process, and ultimately source the underlying data. The work will support management in making informed decisions, prioritizing resources, and mitigating risks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute the creation of Enterprise Risk Management reports for all ABN AMRO Clearing Bank regions and locations globally.
• Make reporting more efficient and data-driven.
• Develop reporting best practices that are easy to understand, intuitive, smart, and recognizable for management.
• Improve and streamline the reporting process.
• Perform quality assurance on data delivery for enterprise risk management reports.
• Assist with audits, governance, policy, and automation initiatives within the Enterprise Risk Management Reporting team.
• Collaborate with finance, risk management, compliance, IT, and operations teams to standardize reporting and build automated connections for reporting activities.

Working Environment

You will join the Enterprise Risk Reporting team within the Central Risk Management Department at ABN AMRO Clearing Bank. The international team primarily works in a second-line risk management role. The department also includes the Model Validation team and the Risk Governance & Strategy team. The Enterprise Risk Reporting team is tasked with revamping risk reports and the reporting process to ensure consistent and timely reporting on the Risk Appetite of ABN AMRO Clearing Bank.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, information management, or a related field.
• Interest in risk reporting, data-driven decision-making, and risk management.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to see the bigger picture while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proactive approach and willingness to take initiative.
• Risk awareness and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work as a team player in a multicultural environment.
• English communication skills.
• Knowledge of process design and process management.
• Affinity with laws and regulations related to risk reporting and risk management is a plus.
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Excel and Tableau is a plus.
• Experience with scripting languages such as SQL, Python, VBA, R, or Office Script is a plus.
