Details

NordStellar is seeking a Junior Data Acquisition Specialist to join its Dark Web Monitoring Team. The team develops cyber threat intelligence products that monitor the surface, deep, and dark web, assess brand health, and protect attack surfaces.

Responsibilities

Work with data extraction, manipulation, and analysis using the Linux command line and other tools.
Analyze and research data breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
Review collected data, identify useful information, and prepare and validate datasets that cannot be ingested automatically.
Organize and maintain an archive of collected databases, ensuring that records are accurate and accessible.
Acquire stolen datasets from a range of sources.
Help automate data ingestion processes.

Requirements

Fluency in Lithuanian and English.
Familiarity with basic data mining techniques.
Genuine interest in cybersecurity and the cybercriminal underground.
Detail-oriented and reliable approach to working with data.
Analytical thinking and a problem-solving mindset.
Ambition to learn and grow as a data acquisition professional and quickly learn new tools.

Bonus Skills

Comfort working in a Unix environment and using basic Linux shell tools.
Experience working with large or messy datasets.
Coding or scripting experience, such as Python.
