Details
In 2026, Perplexity launched Computer, a product for the new era of agentic AI. Millions of people and teams adopt Perplexity and Computer independently, and the Growth team owns the loops that turn that adoption into lasting usage and revenue.
The Growth GTM Engineer will build systems that turn product usage into revenue and self-serve usage into enterprise pipeline. This includes turning first-party Computer and Enterprise usage into account-level signals, shipping in-product paths that capture sales intent, and building and validating those signals with data science. Working alongside product engineers, the role ships production code, instruments the product, and runs experiments. The role partners closely with Revenue Operations, which owns Salesforce, CPQ, routing, and sales reporting.
Tech Stack
TypeScript, Next.js, React, Python, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Eppo, and AWS.
Why Perplexity Is Different
- Craftsmanship: Build high-quality, tasteful products for both AI-native and AI-curious users.
- Ownership: Identify the problem, design the solution, and ship it.
- Entrepreneurship: Think like founders, act with urgency, and deliver for colleagues and users.
- Scholarship: Work with talented peers while pursuing knowledge and improving teams and products.
- Partnership: Amplify colleagues' strengths, break down silos, and help deliver excellence.
Responsibilities
- Build account-level product-led growth signals by mapping users and workspaces to accounts and defining activation, expansion, and intent signals that predict enterprise deals.
- Publish trusted models that sales teams can use for scoring and routing.
- Own in-product paths from self-serve to sales, including contact-sales entry points, high-intent upsells, and meeting booking across web and app.
- Determine who sees sales-assist surfaces, when they see them, and with what context.
- Measure the full funnel from surface to booked meeting to pipeline.
- Lead experiments end to end on sales-assist surfaces and targeting, from hypothesis and instrumentation through analysis and rollout.
- Partner with Data Science to measure meetings and qualified opportunities, not just clicks.
- Build internal tools and automation used by Growth and GTM teams.
- Partner with Sales, Sales Systems, Data Science, Marketing, and Product to turn product signals into pipeline.
- Serve as an upstream partner to sales systems teams that own Salesforce, CPQ, and routing.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a growth, GTM, data, or full-stack engineer shipping production code with TypeScript/React and Python.
- Strong SQL skills and experience building data models in a warehouse, such as Snowflake or a dbt-style environment.
- Experience instrumenting product events and running A/B experiments end to end.
- Commercial instinct and the ability to start from a revenue problem and work back to the signal or product surface that addresses it.
- Comfort with REST APIs, webhooks, and integrating third-party GTM tools.
- An operator mindset, including talking directly to customers, shipping fixes, and working without requiring a product manager to translate requests.
Nice to Have
- Experience with a product-led-growth-to-enterprise motion, including product-qualified leads, scoring users into accounts, and sales-assist flows.
- Experience as a GTM or growth engineer at a B2B SaaS or GTM-tooling company.
- Experience with entity resolution, deduplication, or domain enrichment.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Default, Chili Piper, Intercom, Clay, Hightouch, Polytomic, or similar tools as a consumer and integrator rather than an administrator.
- Experience building LLM-powered internal tools or agents.
