Mobile iOS Engineer

SpaceXAI is seeking an exceptional iOS engineer to join a small, high-impact team focused on creating valuable AI applications. The role involves building cutting-edge mobile experiences that combine technical excellence with strong product design and collaborating with AI researchers and engineers to deploy state-of-the-art models globally.

Responsibilities

• Create delightful, intuitive user experiences for interacting with AI on mobile.
• Develop polished interfaces with attention to pixels, animations, and interactions.
• Build highly performant systems optimized for speed and responsiveness.
• Drive technical and product decisions in collaboration with AI researchers and engineers.
• Own complex features end to end, from architecture through App Store deployment.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
• Experience with performance optimization across memory, CPU, and GPU using low-level tools.
• Experience designing and shipping intuitive, pixel-perfect mobile user interfaces.
• Skills in concurrency and reactive programming with Combine.
• Experience building high-throughput integrations with REST, gRPC, or AI model outputs.
• Ability to develop scalable systems and deliver features end to end.

Preferred Skills And Experience

• Deep expertise in the Apple ecosystem and related development tools.
• Rust experience for backend components.
• Experience with AVFoundation for real-time audio processing.
• A track record of shipping standout apps or features.
• Strong iOS development expertise, particularly with Swift.
• Ability to deliver results quickly and decisively.
• Strong product sense and the ability to anticipate user needs and translate them into valuable features.
