Glean is the Work AI platform that combines enterprise search, an AI Assistant, scalable AI agents, over 100 enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs on a secure, open platform. Its Enterprise Graph and Personal Knowledge Graph support personalized, context-aware responses and agentic capabilities across structured and unstructured data.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical success of partners across onboarding, technical enablement, early production deployments, and scaled delivery motions.
- Lead hands-on technical trainings, deep dives, workshops, and co-build sessions for partner engineers, architects, consultants, and delivery teams.
- Help partners create repeatable service offerings, implementation packages, and reference architectures on Glean.
- Develop partner technical maturity so teams can independently architect, implement, troubleshoot, and support Glean in production.
- Identify partner capability gaps and work with Partner Managers, Product, Engineering, and Solutions teams to address them through programs, code, content, or product changes.
- Act as Glean's technical representative within partner organizations and build relationships with partner technical leaders.
- Provide technical support and expertise for partner-led services and solutions, particularly around agent development, custom connectors, custom integrations, and platform extensibility.
- Co-build reusable demos and workshops involving Glean Agents, Actions, APIs, Web SDK and embedded experiences, custom connectors, and other extensibility patterns.
- Build prototypes, reference implementations, sample repositories, service patterns, and reusable content.
- Capture field learnings from partner deployments and provide actionable feedback to Product and Engineering.
- Codify successful patterns into implementation guides, architecture blueprints, code samples, workshops, and troubleshooting playbooks.
- Help define partner competencies and services motions, and scale bespoke field work into repeatable best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role such as partner engineer, forward-deployed engineer, solutions architect, solutions engineer, consulting or professional services, or a related role.
- Experience building or deploying AI, LLM, or agent-based systems in production.
- Experience writing, debugging, integrating, and deploying production software systems using APIs, SDKs, authentication patterns, and cloud services.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and hands-on coding experience in Python and at least one of TypeScript, JavaScript, or Java.
- Understanding of cloud platforms and practical experience with at least one major provider: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Ability to lead technical workshops, deep dives, or hands-on enablement that builds durable partner capability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and context-switch across technical and non-technical problems.
- Willingness to travel 25%–50%.
Preferred Qualifications
- 8+ years in a technical role.
- Experience working with VARs, GSIs, SIs, cloud partners, ISVs, or partner delivery organizations.
- Experience with custom data source connectors, indexing pipelines, embedded experiences, enterprise search, retrieval, knowledge systems, or workflow automation.
- Experience creating tutorials, guides, workshops, code labs, reference architectures, and implementation playbooks.
- Experience shaping roadmap or packaging decisions based on partner or customer deployment feedback.
- Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment shaping partner motions, integrations, or go-to-market plays.
Success In This Role
- Partners can independently deliver production-grade Glean services and solutions in addition to technical demos and pre-sales support.
- Partners develop a visible Glean technical practice with trained engineers, repeatable offerings, reference architectures, and delivery confidence.
- Reusable accelerators, code artifacts, workshops, solution packages, and implementation guides make partner-led delivery faster and more consistent.
- Partner-led deployments achieve faster time to value through early resolution of technical blockers.
- Product and Engineering teams receive high-signal feedback from partner deployments.
Location And Work Policy
This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, California, with three days per week in the office and 25%–50% travel for partner-facing work.
Compensation And Benefits
The standard base salary range is $200,000–$250,000 annually. Compensation may vary based on location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may also be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
