Airbnb is expanding beyond stays into experiences and services. The Trips team brings together the guest journey by helping guests view reservations, plan activities, coordinate with groups, and add experiences and services to their stays.
As Product Manager for Trips, you will help build this business into a habit for millions of guests. You will own the feature roadmap across much of the Trips program, make scope and priority decisions with design and engineering teams, lead initiatives from brief through launch, use experiment results to guide product decisions, and grow the share of trips that include experiences, services, and more. You will also craft product narratives for internal leadership and external guests.
Responsibilities
- Translate business goals into product briefs and requirements for new Trips features, grounded in real guest needs.
- Drive execution with engineering, design, data science, and program management from concept through launch and iteration, often with multiple features in flight.
- Shape how and when the next booking is suggested through in-app placements, personalized ranking, offers, and lifecycle messaging throughout the guest trip.
- Work with supply, partnerships, and operations teams to ensure experiences, services, and partner offerings are relevant, available, and easy to book.
- Partner with data scientists and engineers on product experiments, synthesize outcomes, and decide what to scale, iterate on, or stop.
- Make prioritization decisions when guest experience, business impact, and engineering cost compete, while keeping partners aligned.
- Present strategy and results in leadership reviews, turning complex tradeoffs into clear decisions and concise narratives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in product marketing or product management.
- Track record of moving core growth metrics such as conversion, attach, frequency, or revenue per customer through features led to launch.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through complex launches on time and to a high quality standard, often with several features in flight.
- Experience working on two-sided marketplaces or multi-product platforms, balancing customer needs with the success of supply and partners.
- Ability to define what experiments need to learn, interpret growth metrics alongside guardrails such as satisfaction and retention, and turn results into product decisions.
- Strong judgment of consumer product quality and an understanding of what makes an experience useful and delightful.
- Ability to earn the trust of engineering, design, and data science partners and lead without formal authority.
- Clear, structured communication skills, including the ability to distill complex tradeoffs for executives and translate strategy into actionable guidance for teams.
- Experience at a fast-growing consumer marketplace and launching a new category or business line is preferred.
- Candidates must be able to work Pacific Time Zone hours as needed and live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
