The ClickPipes Platform plays a critical role in driving company growth and ensuring client success by seamlessly onboarding and integrating data from diverse data sources into ClickHouse. Operating at petabyte scale and in high-velocity environments, the team solves challenging technical problems with significant autonomy and measurable impact.
The team is looking for exceptional backend engineers who can work across a variety of technologies, with deep expertise in Kubernetes, distributed systems, cloud services, and platform reliability. The role involves collaborating cross-functionally to build and maintain the infrastructure powering ClickPipes.
Recent team work includes Flexible Scaling and Monitoring in ClickPipes, MySQL CDC Connector for ClickPipes, and The Evolution of ClickPipes.
Responsibilities
- Enhance and scale the high-performance data onboarding platform to handle increasing volumes of data in real time.
- Own and evolve infrastructure across multiple cloud providers, including AWS, with expansion to GCP and Azure.
- Drive improvements to deployment pipelines, infrastructure automation, and operational processes.
- Drive technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions affecting platform scalability and resilience.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability and respond to production incidents.
- Continuously improve systems based on operational metrics, customer feedback, and evolving business requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience building as a backend engineer.
- Expertise in Golang, Kubernetes, Terraform or a comparable infrastructure-as-code tool, cloud-native architecture, and at least one major cloud service provider.
- Deep commitment to understanding and addressing customer needs, using customer feedback and insights to inform product development.
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of working effectively across teams.
- Exceptional production debugging skills and the ability to solve complex technical issues in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to thrive in a high-velocity setting with significant ownership and autonomy.
