Details

Data Processing Units (DPUs) are a new class of programmable processors that accelerate networking, storage, compute, and security services in modern data centers. The Compiler team is seeking compiler engineers to help advance programmable networking at data center scale across NVIDIA DPUs, working across the hardware and software boundary.

Responsibilities

  • Apply a deep understanding of compiler technologies and programmability to implement static and runtime optimizations.
  • Develop proof-of-concept implementations of networking applications and guide their integration into products.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop advanced compilers and optimization technologies.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to advance a cohesive technology strategy.
  • Stay current with developments in compiler technology, networking protocols, and hardware design.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, PhD strongly preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work or research experience in performance analysis, compiler optimization, and code generation.
  • Knowledge of network programming, network protocols, and network layers.
  • Excellent C/C++ and Python programming skills.
  • Software design experience, including debugging, performance analysis, and test design.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic, product-oriented team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with open-source compiler codebases.
  • Knowledge of the Linux networking stack and hardware packet-processing pipelines.
  • Proven ability to design or architect compiler frameworks.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of USD 152,000–241,500 per year, determined by location, experience, and compensation for similar positions.
  • Eligibility for equity and benefits.
