The Data department delivers data, news, and analytics through innovative technology, applying problem-solving skills to identify workflow efficiencies and implement technology solutions that enhance systems, products, and processes.

The Content Acquisition team manages, acquires, and integrates content and data from exchanges, brokers, sell-side, buy-side, and other providers to support the Bloomberg Terminal and downstream enterprise products. The team leads data governance, cost, and quality initiatives and collaborates across the company on data acquisition strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement data-driven strategies to acquire new content sets and maximize the value of existing datasets.
  • Set and prioritize data-driven strategies and targets for discovering and acquiring datasets, and track progress against goals.
  • Build relationships with internal partners and decision-makers to understand and align with their priorities.
  • Ensure existing datasets are fit for purpose, accessible, and usable to increase the return on content investments.
  • Lead and implement data quality projects based on evolving business priorities and commercial conditions.
  • Lead campaigns across Exchanges & Venues to mobilize Relationship Managers and Technical Account Managers.
  • Identify and close gaps in existing product offerings and address emerging client use cases.
  • Act as an ambassador for Futures & Options content and represent the Content Acquisition team throughout the company.
  • Drive cross-functional and cross-regional execution, alignment, and strategic communication.
  • Translate vision into measurable results and actionable goals for regional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, STEM, or equivalent qualifications.
  • 4+ years of experience in financial markets.
  • Deep understanding of Futures & Options markets, including market structure, current market trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across complex functions, geographies, and seniority levels.
  • Proven ability to translate vision into measurable outcomes and actionable goals for regional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-regional execution, alignment, and strategic communication.
  • Strategic approach with a bias for action and comfort making decisions with imperfect information in fast-moving markets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
