Details

Airbnb's pricing guidance team is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to develop optimal pricing models and recommendations for hosts. The role involves collaborating with engineers, data scientists, product managers, designers, and other cross-functional partners to build effective, user-friendly pricing solutions.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to understand project requirements and desired outcomes.
Develop, test, and refine machine learning models for pricing recommendations, particularly reinforcement learning models.
Analyze model performance and make necessary adjustments.
Present findings and progress updates to team members and stakeholders.
Work with product engineers and designers to integrate models into user-friendly tools for hosts.
Participate in project planning and prioritization, aligning team efforts with Airbnb's broader strategic goals.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering.
Proven experience developing and implementing machine learning models, preferably reinforcement learning models.
Strong knowledge of Python or other relevant programming languages.
Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex ideas clearly.
Experience in the hospitality industry or with pricing models is a plus.
Must be authorized to work in the specified location.
Occasional travel may be required.
Experience with Airbnb's platform and tools is beneficial.

Location and Work Policy

This position is US remote eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed with the manager. Employees must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity.
