The Community Growth organization is seeking a Senior Manager, Community Growth & Intelligence to identify growth opportunities, understand the factors driving or constraining growth, and translate insights into product and operating decisions. This role will connect Community and Product strategy, establish operating and measurement rhythms, and communicate impact to senior leaders.

This is a hands-on player-coach role. You will initially lead a small team while remaining closely involved in analysis, synthesis, and execution. The position sits at the intersection of community growth, community marketing, product strategy, and business operations. It is not a traditional community management or data science role, but requires comfort working directly with data and collaborating deeply with Data Science partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the Community Growth intelligence agenda by identifying high-value strategic questions, prioritizing analytical work, and ensuring insights inform team and product roadmaps.
• Frame ambiguous growth opportunities into clear hypotheses, analytical plans, opportunity sizing, and recommendations.
• Build decision-ready investment cases connecting Community strategy, Product strategy, resource needs, expected impact, tradeoffs, and risks.
• Establish metrics and measurement frameworks for growth initiatives, independently explore data, and partner with Data Science on Reddit's data architecture and deeper analyses.
• Create a clear rhythm of business through portfolio prioritization, business reviews, progress reporting, and concise narratives about results and learnings.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through execution, measurement, and iteration with Community, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Data Science, and Finance.
• Serve as a thought partner to Community Growth leaders and senior stakeholders by challenging assumptions, surfacing tradeoffs, and aligning teams around the path forward.
• Manage and develop a small team of analysts and strategists, with the opportunity to scale the function as its mandate grows.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in community growth, community marketing, strategy and operations, product strategy, business analytics, management consulting, or a related field, including experience with a consumer product or platform.
• Track record of sizing opportunities, building investment cases, and translating analysis into prioritization decisions and measurable outcomes.
• Strong analytical fluency, including advanced spreadsheet modeling and working knowledge of SQL.
• Ability to perform hands-on analysis, interrogate imperfect data, and partner effectively with Data Science.
• Experience defining KPIs and measurement frameworks and applying experimentation or other rigorous evaluation approaches.
• Demonstrated experience managing and developing people while contributing directly to the work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to turn complex inputs into clear, decision-ready narratives for senior leaders.
• Ability to create structure in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and influence cross-functional partners without relying on direct authority.
• Experience in management consulting, chief of staff, business operations, or growth strategy roles combining structured problem solving with hands-on execution.
• Experience in both a scaled consumer organization and a startup or scale-up environment.
• Experience with product-led, ecosystem, or community growth.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $223,600–$313,000 USD. The role is also eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units and, depending on the position offered, may be eligible for a commission. Final offer amounts depend on factors including skills, depth of experience, and relevant credentials.
