Details

Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to join the Grafana Incident Response Management (IRM) squad. The team builds business-critical services that help organizations detect, respond to, and learn from incidents with minimal toil.

This is a full-time remote role for candidates in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Spain, and Germany. The role involves designing, building, operating, and maintaining Grafana's mobile application, with ownership of its reliability, performance, and availability.

Responsibilities

Influence the product roadmap and define career objectives.
Work with the team to deliver new features, evaluate results, and iterate on solutions.
Drive projects from initial ideation through production operations.
Contribute to Grafana's open-source culture and projects outside the immediate team scope.
Design, build, operate, and maintain Grafana's mobile application.
Own application reliability, performance, and availability.
Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of the application in production.
Mentor and support team members, participate in design discussions, and collaborate with the team.
Develop a deeper understanding of Grafana Cloud, its customers, and a large distributed-system codebase.

Requirements

Experience with at least one native mobile platform: Android or iOS.
Strong experience building production Flutter applications, including state management, navigation, asynchronous programming, and maintainable codebase architecture.
Experience taking mobile features from ideation to release, including requirements clarification, solution exploration, development, testing, CI/CD workflows, and shipping updates to the App Store and Google Play.
Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and cloud services.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code.
Self-directed, customer-focused approach with a bias toward action.
Ability to break down complex challenges, deliver MVPs, gather feedback, and iterate.
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working in a fully remote environment.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience using Grafana and Prometheus in operational roles or personal projects.
Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems, or willingness to learn.
Familiarity with on-call work, operations, SRE tasks, or infrastructure as code.
Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects.

Compensation & Benefits

UK base compensation range: GBP 103,000–129,500 per year.
