Senior Mobile Engineer - Grafana Ops - IRM

Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to join the Grafana Incident Response Management (IRM) squad. The team operates business-critical services that help organizations detect, respond to, and learn from incidents with minimal toil. This is a full-time remote role for candidates in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Spain, or Germany.

The IRM team focuses on unified experiences, automation and integration, and observability-native workflows. Its products integrate with multiple third-party systems and observability platforms to help teams gain actionable insights and resolve incidents efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Influence the product roadmap and personal career objectives.
• Work with the team to deliver new features, evaluate results, and iterate on improvements.
• Drive projects from initial ideation through production operations.
• Contribute to open-source projects beyond the immediate team scope.
• Design, build, operate, and maintain Grafana's mobile application, owning its reliability, performance, and availability.
• Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of the application in production.
• Mentor and support team members, participate in design discussions, and collaborate across the team.
• Develop a deeper understanding of Grafana Cloud, customers, and the codebase of a large distributed system.

Requirements

• Experience with at least one native mobile platform: Android or iOS.
• Strong experience building production Flutter applications, including state management, navigation, asynchronous programming, and maintainable application architecture.
• Experience taking mobile features from ideation to release, including clarifying requirements, exploring solutions, building, testing, creating CI/CD workflows, and shipping updates to the App Store and Google Play.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and cloud services.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code that other engineers can understand and extend.
• A motivated, self-starting attitude with a bias toward action.
• Customer focus and a passion for creating intuitive products.
• Pragmatic approach to breaking down complex challenges, delivering MVPs, gathering feedback, and iterating.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fully remote environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience using Grafana and Prometheus in operational roles, including on-call, or through hobby or home-lab projects.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems, or an interest in learning about them.
• Familiarity with on-call work, operations, SRE tasks, or infrastructure as code.
• Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects.

• Base compensation in Sweden of SEK 878,000–1,098,500 per year; actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skills.
