Details
Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to join the Grafana Incident Response Management (IRM) team. The team builds business-critical services that help organizations detect, respond to, and learn from incidents. This is a full-time remote role for candidates in the United States (EST), United Kingdom, Ireland, Sweden, Spain, and Germany.
The IRM team includes frontend, backend, and mobile squads and focuses on unified experiences, automation and integrations, and observability-native functionality. The role involves building and operating Grafana's mobile application and contributing to an open-source, distributed cloud product.
Responsibilities
- Influence the product roadmap and define career objectives.
- Deliver new features, evaluate results, and iterate on solutions.
- Drive projects from ideation through production operations.
- Design, build, operate, and maintain Grafana's mobile application, owning its reliability, performance, and availability.
- Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of the application in production.
- Mentor team members, participate in design discussions, and collaborate in a remote environment.
- Contribute to open-source projects outside the immediate team scope.
- Develop a deeper understanding of Grafana's cloud product, customers, and large distributed codebase.
Requirements
- Experience with at least one native mobile platform: Android or iOS.
- Strong experience building production Flutter applications, including state management, navigation, asynchronous programming, and maintainable codebase architecture.
- Experience taking mobile features from concept to release, including requirements clarification, solution exploration, implementation, testing, CI/CD workflows, and shipping updates to the App Store and Google Play.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and cloud services.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code.
- A self-directed, action-oriented approach.
- Customer focus and a passion for creating intuitive products.
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills, including breaking complex challenges into modular solutions, delivering MVPs, gathering feedback, and iterating.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fully remote team.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience using Grafana and Prometheus in operational, on-call, hobby, or home-lab environments.
- Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with on-call work, operations, SRE tasks, or infrastructure as code.
- Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects.

Compensation
The United States compensation range is $174,986–$209,983 USD per year. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skill set.
