Details

Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to join the Grafana Incident Response and Management (IRM) squad. The team operates business-critical services that help organizations detect, respond to, and learn from incidents. This is a full-time remote role for candidates in the UK, Ireland, Sweden, Spain, or Germany.

The role involves working across frontend, backend, and mobile functions to deliver a unified, automated, and observability-native experience. You will design, build, operate, and maintain Grafana’s mobile application, with ownership of its reliability, performance, and availability.

Responsibilities

Influence the product roadmap and define career objectives.
Work with the team to deliver new features and iterate based on results.
Drive projects from initial ideation through production operations.
Contribute to open-source projects, including projects outside your immediate team’s scope.
Design, build, operate, and maintain Grafana’s mobile application.
Own the reliability, performance, and availability of the application.
Participate in on-call rotations and take ownership of the application in production.
Mentor and support team members, participate in design discussions, and collaborate across the team.
Develop a deeper understanding of Grafana Cloud, its customers, and the codebase of a large distributed system.

Requirements

Experience with at least one native mobile platform: Android or iOS.
Strong experience building production Flutter applications, including state management, navigation, asynchronous programming, and maintainable codebase architecture.
Experience taking mobile features from idea to release, including requirements clarification, solution exploration, development, testing, CI/CD workflows, and shipping updates to the App Store and Google Play.
Experience integrating mobile applications with backend APIs and cloud services.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code.
A self-driven, customer-focused approach with a bias toward action.
Ability to break down complex challenges into modular solutions, deliver MVPs, gather feedback, and iterate.
Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fully remote environment.

Bonus Skills

Experience using Grafana and Prometheus in operational roles or personal projects.
Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Familiarity with on-call work, operations, SRE tasks, or infrastructure as code.
Experience contributing to or maintaining open-source projects.
