Details
Teleport builds the Teleport Access Platform to provide least-privileged, cryptographic identity-based access and zero-trust infrastructure access. Teleport serves fast-moving engineering teams at companies such as Elastic, Snowflake, DoorDash, and NASDAQ.
This role is a senior product design position focused on designing interfaces for technically complex workflows and data-scalable UIs, working closely with engineers and product teams. The team values autonomy, security-first thinking, collaboration, and professional excellence.
Responsibilities
- Communicate design ideas through storyboards, diagrams, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes.
- Collaborate with engineers to identify requirements and limitations throughout planning, design, and implementation phases.
- Solve data scalability challenges with elegant user interfaces.
- Test and validate new features and designs with user research.
- Collaborate with fellow designers on a shared company-wide design system.
- Advocate for design best practices and contribute to the design culture at Teleport.
- Contribute to product and design strategy and decision-making.
- Help build and maintain the product and company brand.
- Lead collaborative workshops and design reviews to facilitate problem solving and creative thinking.
Requirements
- Strong design background and an online portfolio demonstrating work.
- Understanding of information architecture, user experience, and interaction design best practices.
- Experience with user research, especially moderated usability testing.
- Mastery of responsive design supporting a range of viewport sizes (widescreen to mobile).
- Experience designing for technically complex workflows and working closely with engineers to identify technical requirements and limitations.
- Experience creating interfaces that organize and scale with large amounts of data.
- Fluency in Figma and other design and prototyping tools.
- Clear and direct communication, collaboration skills, and a positive attitude.
- Skill at leading design reviews and running collaborative workshops.
