NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Security Software Engineer to develop GPU technology supporting AI, edge computing, networking, robotics, and self-driving cars. The role is based in Santa Clara, California, and focuses on security software for Tegra systems-on-chip (SoC) technology.

Responsibilities

  • Craft, develop, and implement advanced security software solutions for Tegra SoCs with high standards of performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with customers, partners, and cross-functional hardware, architecture, and software teams to integrate security features into NVIDIA products.
  • Conduct security assessments and code reviews to identify and resolve vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in the silicon lifecycle, including pre-silicon simulation and emulation, test validation, and power-on bring-up phases.
  • Specify and implement test cases while improving test automation and software quality.
  • Help ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulations.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers.
  • Contribute to NVIDIA's security strategy and roadmap.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in security software engineering.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing security solutions in complex environments.
  • Strong knowledge of security protocols and processes, cryptography, CPU and system architecture, and secure coding practices.
  • Experience with AI tooling and workflows, as well as security assessment tools and methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with GPU and SoC technology.
  • Knowledge of advanced architecture and security topics, including Security Enclave, Secure Boot, Root of Trust, runtime security services, confidential computing, and cryptography.
  • Experience leading security initiatives and mentoring engineers.
  • Published research or contributions to the security community.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range is USD 152,000–241,500 for Level 3 and USD 184,000–287,500 for Level 4. Employees are also eligible for equity and benefits. Applications will be accepted at least until August 14, 2026. NVIDIA uses AI tools in its recruiting processes and is an equal opportunity employer.
