Details

NVIDIA is seeking an experienced Senior Software and System Architect to join its Networking Software Architecture group. The team is responsible for defining next-generation architectures for DPU and NIC technologies across networking, security, virtualization, and orchestration domains. The role focuses on advancing datacenter networking and security solutions while collaborating with global software, hardware, R&D, product, solution architecture, application engineering, and field engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture for cloud networking and security solutions.
  • Design state-of-the-art system architectures for DPU and NIC technologies.
  • Build end-to-end solutions spanning application-level to hardware-level components.
  • Develop fast and creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Write clear, effective, and reliable architecture specifications.
  • Evaluate new technologies and rapidly develop proof-of-concept prototypes for potential products and solutions.
  • Collaborate with NVIDIA teams worldwide, including software and hardware architects, R&D, product teams, solution architects, application engineers, and field engineers.
  • Work with high-profile customers on advanced technologies and solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Software Architect or Systems Architect, including strong software development experience.
  • Deep knowledge of and experience with C and Python.
  • Hands-on Linux development experience.
  • Cloud networking experience.
  • Broad knowledge of networking protocols and common network topologies.
  • Strong design, coding, analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work concurrently with multiple local and international groups.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Development experience with networking and security devices, including NICs, DPUs, switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Good understanding of operating systems and drivers.
  • Background in datacenter technologies, network topologies, and cloud computing.
  • Experience with DPDK, OVS, or OVN.
  • Experience with Docker, containers, and Kubernetes components and subsystems.
