Anthropic’s Product Engineering organization is seeking experienced full-stack engineers to join teams building consumer and enterprise products, including Claude.ai, the Anthropic API, enterprise deployments, Claude Code, and mission-driven applications. The role involves end-to-end technical ownership, collaboration with engineering managers, product leaders, designers, and researchers, and building reliable, accessible, performant, and scalable products for millions of users.

Team placement occurs after the interview process based on candidate interests, experience, and organizational needs. Potential teams include Developer Experience, Beneficial Deployments, Vertical AI Products, Enterprise AI Products, Public Sector, Enterprise Foundations, and Growth.

Responsibilities

• Build full-stack products and tools, including developer consoles, SDKs, documentation, observability systems, access programs, enterprise integrations, retrieval systems, administrative analytics, identity and permissions systems, security and compliance controls, and growth initiatives.
• Develop products that make Claude useful across developer workflows, financial services, life sciences, healthcare, public-sector, and enterprise environments.
• Own technical quality across the stack, including performance, accessibility, reliability, and developer experience.
• Scale products and engineering efforts to millions of global users.
• Partner with product leaders, designers, researchers, engineering managers, data scientists, marketers, and product managers.
• Translate new model capabilities into usable product experiences and help define what is possible with large language models.
• Drive cross-team alignment and deliver impactful work in fast-moving and ambiguous environments.
• Establish engineering standards, component architectures, and development best practices.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of practical full-stack engineering experience.
• Experience designing and delivering complex consumer or B2B user-facing products across the full stack.
• Strong proficiency in modern frontend and backend development, with demonstrated depth in key languages and frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
• A product-focused approach to building robust, scalable, and easy-to-use solutions.
• Experience working in early-stage startups or rapidly evolving environments, ideally building products from 0 to 1.
• Experience driving cross-team alignment and influencing without formal authority.
• Ability to establish engineering standards, component architectures, and development best practices.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver high-quality products in fast-paced environments.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The field of study must be relevant to the role through coursework, training, or professional experience.

• Annual salary of $320,000 USD.
