Details

Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join its Enterprise Solutions Engineering team. The team serves as an in-house, customer-facing group of product experts, helping customers understand and succeed with Grafana Labs products through demonstrations, hands-on enablement, presentations, technical evaluations, and ongoing engagement.

The role partners closely with Sales to qualify and close opportunities and provides feedback from customers to Product Management and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Join an early member of a high-growth team working to solve technical and customer problems.
Partner with Sales to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
Own technical customer engagements and help close high-velocity opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
Deliver product and technical presentations to prospective and existing customers.
Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams to provide feedback on products and the competitive landscape.
Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems identified during interactions.
Enhance documentation, write blog posts, record videos, contribute knowledge-base articles, and create other public and internal enablement materials.

Requirements

Ideally located in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Chicago, Michigan, Indiana, or Ohio.
5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with open-source technologies or in the metrics and monitoring space.
Strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership skills in a startup environment with varied and complex responsibilities.
Ability to work and collaborate with an international, remote-first team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate the company's value proposition and the technical advantages of its products.
Enjoyment of solving technical challenges and developing creative customer solutions.
A technical mindset and desire to grow technically. Relevant backgrounds may include a coding bootcamp, post-sales experience, or engineering experience.
Self-motivation, initiative, and creativity.
