Grafana Labs is a remote-first company behind the open observability cloud. Grafana Cloud is a fully managed observability platform built around open source, open standards, and open ecosystems.

The Majors Solutions Engineering team consists of customer-facing product experts who support Grafana Labs’ worldwide growth. The team educates prospective and existing customers through demos, hands-on enablement, presentations, technical evaluations, and ongoing interaction. Solutions Engineers also partner closely with Sales to qualify and close opportunities and provide customer feedback to Product Management and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Join a high-growth team focused on solving technical and customer problems.
• Partner with Sales to articulate Grafana’s value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
• Own technical customer engagements and help close opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
• Deliver product and technical presentations to prospective and existing customers.
• Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams to provide feedback on products and the competitive landscape.
• Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems identified during interactions.
• Enhance documentation, write blog posts, record videos, contribute knowledge base articles, and create other public and internal enablement materials.

Requirements

• Ideally located in the Greater New York City or Boston area.
• At least 5 years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with open-source technologies or in the metrics and monitoring space.
• Strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership in a startup environment with varied and complex responsibilities.
• Ability to work and collaborate with an international, remote-first team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to articulate Grafana Labs’ value proposition and the technical advantages of its products.
• A technical mindset and interest in continued technical growth.
• Ability to solve technical challenges and develop creative customer solutions.
• Self-motivation, initiative, and creativity.

Compensation & Benefits

• United States OTE compensation range: $204,000–$254,000 per year.
