Grafana Labs is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join its Commercial Solutions Engineering team. The team consists of customer-facing product experts who support global growth by educating potential and existing customers, delivering technical expertise, and helping customers achieve success with Grafana Cloud and related observability technologies. The role partners closely with Sales and serves as a communication channel between customers, Product Management, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Join an early member of a high-growth team solving technical and customer problems.
• Partner with Sales to articulate Grafana's value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
• Own technical customer engagements and help close high-velocity opportunities through competitive knowledge, technical skill, and credibility.
• Deliver product and technical presentations to prospective and existing customers.
• Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams to provide feedback on products and the competitive landscape.
• Drive product conversations based on customer needs and problems identified during interactions.
• Enhance documentation, write blog posts, record videos, contribute knowledge base articles, and create other public and internal enablement materials.

Requirements

• Ideally located on the East Coast or in the Central Region of the United States.
• At least 5 years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with open-source technologies or in the metrics and monitoring space.
• Strong judgment, collaboration, and leadership skills in a startup environment with varied and complex duties.
• Ability to work and collaborate with an international, remote-first team.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to articulate Grafana's value proposition and the technical advantages of its products.
• Enjoyment of solving technical challenges and bringing creative solutions to customers.
• A technical mindset and desire to continue growing technically.
• Candidates may have experience from a coding bootcamp, post-sales role, or engineering background.
• Self-motivation, initiative, and creativity.

Compensation

The United States on-target earnings compensation range is $182,000–$226,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset. Compensation ranges and benefits are country-specific.
