Responsibilities

  • Work with sales partner(s) to develop territory and account strategies and campaigns.
  • Understand customer requirements as they relate to security architectures across data center, cloud, and enterprise environments.
  • Track and document aspects of the sales cycle including elements that are the primary responsibility of the Sales Engineer.
  • Lead proof-of-concept / value engagements.
  • Prepare and lead technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work.
  • Secure orders, guarantee product standards and assure product delivery.
  • Recommend new and improved products to customers and explain how the software and services will be more cost-effective.
  • Actively participate within the greater technical team sharing experience and best practices.

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience in a pre-sales role, ideally in cybersecurity and preferably focused on endpoint cyber defense.
  • Bachelor in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience in real-world cyber security sales and/or consulting.
  • Expertise in the endpoint space focused on prevention, EDR, and threat hunting.
  • Demonstrable experience in objection handling and positioning against competitive technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience speaking to both small and large audiences; strong written and oral communication skills for business and technical presentations to executives and technical audiences.
  • Must have demonstrable experience successfully selling to enterprise customers and the ability to explain and demonstrate complex product/security solutions both technically and to senior leadership.
  • Basic knowledge of hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies, detection evasion techniques, notable malware, and anti-malware solutions and techniques.
  • Experience in computer forensics, security architecture, penetration/red teaming, or incident response is a plus.
  • Team-focused approach and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%; will be supporting a Pacific Northwest territory and must be based there.

Compensation

  • This U.S. role has a base pay range plus commissions. The posted on-target earnings (OTE) for this position is $196,000—$270,000 USD (inclusive of base and commissions). For some locations a different pay range may apply and will be provided during recruiting.
