Details

Anthropic is seeking a Staff+ Software Engineer to anchor its Enterprise pillar and make Claude enterprise-ready at scale. The role involves designing systems and products that support large-scale enterprise deployment, governance, connectivity, security, permissions, and end-user experience.

Responsibilities

Define and drive multi-year technical strategy, including distributability and multi-cloud strategy.
Lead the highest-complexity, highest-impact engineering initiatives spanning multiple teams.
Serve as a primary technical decision-maker for major organization-wide architectural decisions.
Partner with Inference, Platform, Customer Success, Infrastructure, and Safeguards teams on foundational systems, customer needs, security, privacy, and responsible deployment.
Mentor and develop Staff-level engineers across the organization.
Drive alignment across Product, GTM, Customer Success, and other stakeholders while identifying and addressing systemic technical risks.

Requirements

10+ years of engineering experience with a track record operating at Staff or Senior Staff level.
Experience shaping technical strategy for large-scale cloud service provider or enterprise SaaS companies.
Ability to drive high-leverage technical outcomes without formal authority.
Deep expertise in distributed systems and API architecture.
Experience writing design documents, making architectural decisions, and coding in critical paths.
Strong cross-organizational communication and collaboration skills.
Domain expertise in enterprise security, identity, compliance, governance, permissions, and connectivity.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Relevant field of study demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
