SentinelOne is seeking a security pre-sales engineer with expertise in endpoint cybersecurity, including prevention, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and threat hunting. The role works with prospects and customers to align their goals and requirements with SentinelOne offerings and supports sales initiatives in a high-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work with sales partners to develop territory and account strategies and campaigns.
  • Understand customer requirements related to security architectures across data center, cloud, and enterprise environments.
  • Track and document aspects of the sales cycle that are primarily the responsibility of the Sales Engineer.
  • Lead proof-of-concept and value engagements.
  • Prepare and lead technical presentations explaining how products and services work.
  • Secure orders, guarantee product standards, and assure product delivery.
  • Recommend new and improved products and explain how they can be more cost-effective for customers.
  • Participate actively within the broader technical team by sharing experience and best practices.
  • Provide first-level technical support throughout the sales cycle. Initially, support customers through implementation; in the near future, the role will be predominantly focused on pre-sales engineering.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, preferably endpoint cyber defense.
  • Demonstrable experience handling objections and positioning solutions against competitive technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience speaking to both small and large audiences.
  • Concise written and oral communication skills for leading business and technical presentations, demonstrations, and conversations with executives and technical audiences.
  • Demonstrable experience successfully selling to mid-market and large customers.
  • Basic knowledge of hacking and exploitation tools and methodologies, detection evasion techniques, notable malware, and anti-malware solutions and techniques.
  • A team-focused approach and positive attitude.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Experience in computer forensics, security architecture, penetration testing/red teaming, or incident response is a plus.

The U.S. role has a base pay range plus commissions that vary based on the candidate's location. The posted range is the on-target earnings (OTE), inclusive of base salary and commissions. A different pay range may apply in some locations.

On-target earnings: $224,000–$308,000 USD.
