Responsibilities

Become a domain expert in Connect and Risk and Compliance areas of Connect.
Handle inquiries from internal Stripes and external partners' technical teams with detailed investigation and, when necessary, code changes.
Organize and direct complex technical changes as part of product releases, merchant onboarding, and migrations.
Identify and automate inefficient or unnecessary manual processes by making direct code changes or coordinating more complex code changes across Stripe.
Design alerting systems using existing tools to respond to incidents quickly or prevent them altogether.
Conduct data analysis to understand the impact of risk and compliance interventions on users and surface future product opportunities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in technical or technical user-facing roles.
At least 2 years of experience with each of the following:
- Developer tools, including Git.
- Scripting and automation, including Ruby and Python.
- Writing tooling and automation, including testing and idempotency.
- Observability tooling, including metrics with Prometheus and Datadog, logging with LogScale, and distributed tracing with Honeycomb.
- Incident response, on-call rotations, runbooks, and postmortem processes.
- SQL and relational databases, including PostgreSQL or MySQL, for operational tasks.

Compensation and Work Arrangement

Salary: $137,000–$205,600 per year.
40 hours per week.
100% telecommuting permitted.
Multiple positions available.
