Technical Specialist, Claude Code

Anthropic is hiring a Technical Specialist to drive meaningful adoption of Claude Code and related products within strategic enterprise customers. The role focuses on customer-facing technical engagement and enablement during the approximately 90 days before and after contract signature. It is not a technical implementation role; implementation work is handled by Implementation Specialists.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver customer-specific enablement programs, including workshops, office hours, build-your-first-agent labs, and role-based curricula for engineering, data, platform, security, and knowledge-worker audiences.
• Drive adoption of Claude Code capabilities such as subagents, hooks, MCP servers, headless mode, and managed settings across customer CI/CD systems, IDE integrations, source control, secure-coding practices, and agentic pipelines.
• Enable customer champions and AI Center of Excellence leads to scale adoption across their organizations.
• Partner with Account Executives, Applied AI, and customer engineering leads on strategic pilots, including scoping, enablement, and success criteria.
• Design and run on-site and virtual hackathons, including themes, judging rubrics, starter kits, prize structures, and post-event follow-through.
• Build production-quality demo applications, reference architectures, and code samples using the Claude Developer Platform, Claude Code, and Claude Enterprise, including Cowork.
• Create tutorials, blog posts, recorded walkthroughs, internal cookbooks, and other technical content for enterprise developer audiences.
• Deliver keynotes, technical talks, live-coded demos, and ask-me-anything sessions covering architecture, prompting, agent design, evaluation, developer workflows, and AI coding-tool limitations.
• Partner with Sales, Applied AI, and Customer Success to sequence pilot, activation, adoption, and value engagements.
• Share customer feedback with Product and Engineering and contribute to internal enablement playbooks.

Requirements

• 3–7+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Architecture, sales engineering, developer relations, or technical consulting.
• Hands-on experience using Claude Code, the Claude Developer Platform, and Cowork, including the ability to build working demos and guide agents through non-trivial tasks.
• Experience delivering technical talks, workshops, or training to engineering audiences, including platform engineers, ML/AI teams, and security-focused enterprise architects.
• Meaningful experience as a software engineer, founder, solutions engineer, developer advocate, or Solutions Architect, with shipped code used by others.
• Experience supporting enterprise technical evaluations or pilots, including security, administration, and scale discussions.
• Strong written and visual communication skills.
• Project management skills, including the ability to manage multi-week activation plans and pilots against defined success metrics.
• Willingness to travel regularly for on-site enablement, pilots, hackathons, and customer events, including some evenings and weekends around major events.
• Deep enthusiasm for AI and hands-on experience building with large language models, with an understanding of responsible use in large organizations.
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. The field of study must be relevant to the role through coursework, training, or professional experience.

Compensation

• Annual salary: $180,000–$365,000 USD

Work Policy and Sponsorship

• Hybrid policy: Staff are expected to work from an Anthropic office at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more office time.
• Anthropic explicitly states that it sponsors visas, although sponsorship is not guaranteed for every role or candidate.
• Regular travel is required for customer and builder events.
