The role contributes to the development of NordVPN for Android devices, helping millions of users take back control of their online security, privacy, and data.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the development of NordVPN for Android devices.
Interact with existing backend REST APIs, provide feedback based on mobile needs, and collaborate with web, backend, and low-level teams to build new features and improve existing ones.
Coordinate with Product Owners and QA/Support teams to maintain a high quality standard for Android applications.
Debug and resolve issues reported by users and internal testing teams.
Work as part of a large development team consisting of Kotlin engineers and QA professionals.
Stay up to date with current tools, patterns, and methodologies to ensure excellent code quality.

Requirements

At least 1 year of Android development experience.
Fluency with Kotlin, MVVM Clean architecture, Room or SQLite databases, and reactive programming libraries such as Coroutines and RxJava.
Knowledge of current Android ecosystem trends and libraries, including Jetpack Compose and Hilt.
Experience with debugging tools and resolving problems reported by users.
Experience writing unit and UI tests.
Excellent knowledge of Android APIs and SDK.
Experience working with large codebases.

Bonus Qualifications

Networking knowledge, including the OSI Stack, or previous experience developing VPN solutions.
Experience with the Android TV ecosystem.
Experience with agile methodology.
