Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. The Core Technology organization builds foundational infrastructure and platforms that support Stripe products and services at scale, including core infrastructure, developer infrastructure, reliability, application and revenue platforms, finance systems, and service platforms.

Team matching for a specific subteam will begin during the final stages. Applicants may also be considered for different organizations based on their experience and location.

Responsibilities

• Build customer experiences for internal and external Stripe teams using infrastructure.
• Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization.
• Deliver value through collaboration with multiple customers and stakeholders across Stripe.
• Debug production issues across services and several levels of the stack.
• Design, build, test, and ship software services and platforms.

Requirements

• 2–12+ years of industry software engineering experience, excluding internships and co-ops.
• Ability to write well-factored algorithms and experience with commonly used data structures and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience contributing to or building large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong coding skills in any programming language; the interview process is language agnostic.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across workstreams and contribute to peers’ success.
• Ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Interest in working as a generalist across varying technologies and stacks.
