Details

Reddit's Identity and Access Management team develops and maintains mission-critical, highly performant, and highly scalable systems that manage user identity, authentication, and authorization for millions of daily users and backend services.

Responsibilities

Build systems around consumer IAM to meet the needs of Reddit's engineering organization and millions of daily users.
Design, build, and ship backend services powering experiences for one of the most visited sites in the world.
Work with product management, security, client engineering, and backend teams to define and implement Reddit's IAM vision and roadmap.
Select, scope, and execute high-leverage projects aligned with Reddit's goals.
Execute on a strategy to create a more performant, scalable, and higher-quality IAM architecture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Reddit Engineering.
Continue developing technical and non-technical abilities.

Requirements

3+ years of experience designing and developing distributed backend systems.
Backend IAM experience in either the authorization or authentication domain.
Proficiency in one or more general-purpose programming languages, preferably Go.
Capability with essential cloud infrastructure, including Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS, and GCP.
High empathy and excellent communication skills for collaboration across the organization.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $164,200–$229,900 USD. The role may span more than one career level and may be eligible for commission depending on the position offered. Final offer amounts depend on skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses or credentials.
