Details
Join ABN AMRO as a Data Steward in the Enterprise Enabling Data Domain (EEDD) within the Value Stream Technology. You will help shape and implement data management strategies, improve data quality, strengthen data governance, manage data risks, and ensure compliance with ABN AMRO’s CDO policies, guidelines, and standards. This role is specialized in Business Data Modelling, including conceptual data modelling and, to a lesser extent, logical data modelling.
Responsibilities
- Drive and manage the development and maintenance of EEDD Business Data Models, guiding team members and stakeholders and participating directly where necessary.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Business Data Modelling activities within EEDD.
- Transfer knowledge to team members and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement data management policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulations such as BCBS239.
- Monitor and strategically improve data quality, including performing root cause analyses on complex data sources and determining follow-up actions.
- Strategically develop, monitor, and enhance data management capabilities.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for FDGM data products and use cases, from concept through implementation.
- Analyse and unravel complex data structures.
- Influence stakeholders and promote data-driven decision-making.
Working Environment
The Enterprise Enabling Data Domain consists of approximately 70 data professionals working across Data Analytics, Data Science, Data Engineering, and Data Stewardship. The Data Steward Team consists of approximately eight Data Stewards reporting directly to a Lead Data Product Owner. The team works collaboratively on complex data projects and closely with colleagues across the Data Management capability, using a consumer-centric approach.
The role is hybrid. Team members work at least one day per week, preferably two, from the headquarters in Amsterdam, temporarily located in Diemen.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Demonstrable experience or interest in Data Management, including DAMA DMBOK, and Data Governance.
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of conceptual and logical data modelling.
- Strong English communication skills; Dutch is an advantage.
- Ability to explain complex data scenarios to senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders, ensure strategic alignment, and promote data management activities.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for decisions and outcomes.
