The Engineering Manager will help businesses stay protected through future-ready network security solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the design, development, deployment, and operations of solutions and features developed by the squad.
  • Enable the team by setting clear direction and expectations and proactively eliminating roadblocks.
  • Lead and grow an engineering squad of 8 to 10 specialists through guidance, mentorship, performance evaluation, personal development plans, progress tracking, and coaching.
  • Lead sprint planning and squad velocity tracking to ensure product milestones are met.
  • Develop and execute plans using agile development methodologies.
  • Collaborate with other cross-functional squads.
  • Discuss business solutions with stakeholders and engineers, propose alternatives, and validate existing solutions.
  • Contribute to talent hiring and ensure the employee lifecycle is fully covered, including hiring, onboarding, growth, and offboarding.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience leading a team of software engineers.
  • A solid software development background and either experience with, or a desire to develop, an understanding of networking.
  • Ability to understand the logic of systems solving complex technical challenges at the intersection of backend development and networking. Writing code is not expected.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Openness to collaborating with and mentoring team members while sharing practical knowledge and trends.
  • A team-oriented and proactive approach, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation

  • PLN 28,000–34,000 gross per month, equivalent to PLN 336,000–408,000 gross per year.
