About the Role

You’ll join as a founding member of Glean's forward deployed team and operate with the autonomy and accountability of a founder. Your job is to discover and build Glean's next generation of product surfaces, working directly with the C-suite of the world's most influential companies and with Glean's own executive team.

Glean is a fully horizontal AI platform — and that scope is what makes this role unique. You won’t be configuring existing products or optimizing within defined constraints. You’ll identify the biggest unsolved business problems at our most strategic customers, build entirely new products to solve them, and in doing so shape what Glean becomes.

Responsibilities

• Discover and build Glean's next product surfaces: 0-to-1 product creation. Identify where Glean's platform can be extended to solve problems no product currently solves, design the solution, and ship it, working in a pod with forward deployed engineers.
• Lead deep opportunity discovery: go deep on the business, determine what’s structurally broken, where leadership loses sleep, and where the biggest concentration of unsolved value is. Pressure-test with the executives who have to live with the outcome.
• Trusted C-suite Advisor: earn trust at the highest levels of customer organizations; set product vision and be accountable for delivering on it.
• Scale what works: once something works, make it repeatable via playbooks and enable the broader team to build on what’s learned.

Requirements

• Think like a founder: diagnose the business, form a hypothesis about where the real value is, and figure out what needs to exist that doesn’t yet. Comfortable in strategic discussions and in iterating on a build with engineers.
• 0-to-1 product track record: build products from scratch that others have used; point to something that didn’t exist before.
• Deep technical fluency: shape product vision and architectures, work directly with engineers on building/implementation, and make credible design decisions. Shipped AI-powered solutions in the real world.
• Business acumen: lead discovery with a point of view; connect opportunities to product hypotheses.
• Executive credibility: build real trust with senior stakeholders.
• Product taste: design products people actually want to use; rigor in end-user experience and underlying architecture.
• Comfort with ambiguity: define the problem as often as you solve it.
• Nice to have: experience as a founder; experience at a top-tier consulting firm or in product at a high-growth technology company; a technical degree in CS, engineering, math, or a related field; deep familiarity with LLMs, retrieval systems, and evaluation frameworks; experience driving technology adoption inside large enterprises.

Location

• This role is hybrid (3-4 days a week in our Mountain View office).
• This role will require travel 25-50% of the time.

Compensation & Benefits

• Standard compensation range: $170,000-$280,000 annually plus equity. Compensation offered is determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
