Details
Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. The content & curriculum team builds a library of educational content and experiences that can be delivered to each learner at the precise moment they need it, teaching them effectively and keeping learning engaging. This role owns the education team’s content end to end—for every audience (developers, consumers, enterprise admins, the general public) and every format (courses, tutorials, video, interactive experiences). The role requires designing workflows and standards for where and how Claude can accelerate drafting, review, and maintenance, and deciding where human craft is non-negotiable. The goal is a content library that evolves in real time with Claude and scales beyond what a team could produce by hand without lowering quality.
Responsibilities
- Own the content and how well it teaches across every audience and format
- Set and defend the quality bar for scaled education; define precise standards for "great"
- Design learning that is beautiful, distinctive, interactive, and increasingly personalized
- Design and run the content production system (intake, prioritization, drafting, review, launch) at the cadence of model and product launches
- Shape how Claude is used in production—create frameworks and standards that let AI accelerate output while keeping quality high
- Manage and develop audience leads and media designers; contribute to education team growth and org design
- Own learning measurement: define how the team knows content is teaching and feed insights back into content development
- Own strategy and execution for reach, including localization, globalization, and new audiences
Requirements
- Demonstrated taste for clear, effective explanations and educational design
- Experience leading a content, curriculum, or education function at scale, including managing leads and developing people
- Experience leading teams through significant change toward an audacious vision
- Experience building systems across varied cross-functional partners (product, engineering, marketing, design, agencies, subject matter experts)
- Experience producing learning across formats (written, video, interactive) and choosing appropriate formats
- Experience building and running technical curriculum, at minimum able to read code and coach technical team members through teaching complex topics
- Rigorous about measurement and grounded in learning science; able to define success, instrument for it, and act on findings
- Practical experience producing content with Claude and an intuition for what to trust AI with versus what requires human oversight
- Energy for scaling craft into systems and workflows that leverage Claude
- Strong writing and editing skills for translating technical concepts without dumbing them down
- Experience in high-growth technology contexts where product and audience priorities shift frequently
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships
Strong candidates may also have
- Experience teaching advanced AI/ML topics to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience building AI-assisted production workflows for content or media and judgment about where human oversight is required
- Experience designing interactive or adaptive learning products (tutoring systems, simulations, hands-on environments)
What makes this role exciting
- Opportunity to define great teaching for the AI era
- Work that shapes how millions of people understand and use Claude and AI in general
Logistics / Compensation
- Annual Salary: $290,000 - $435,000 USD
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
- Minimum years of experience: Correlates with internal job level requirements for the position
- Location-based hybrid policy: Currently expected to be in office at least 25% of the time (some roles may require more time in office)
- Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas and retain an immigration lawyer, but sponsorship is evaluated per role and candidate
