About the Team

APAC Payins TechOps is a newly formed team based in Singapore. The team improves the health and resilience of payment acquiring volume and develops durable solutions through code, tooling, data, and process improvements. It partners closely with payments and platform engineering teams to reduce operational workloads, maintain financial data quality, quarantine problematic data without impacting downstream systems, and prevent recurring issues.

Responsibilities

Scope and lead technical initiatives end-to-end, including identifying problems, proposing solutions, and delivering outcomes.
Investigate systems by tracing problems through Stripe’s stack, examining code, writing SQL queries, reading logs, and inspecting data pipelines.
Assess updates from financial partners and make changes within Stripe to handle them gracefully.
Design anomaly detection systems and tools to ensure financial data flowing through partner and internal systems is reliable and correct.
Identify and automate inefficient or unnecessary manual processes through direct code changes or by coordinating more complex changes across Stripe.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Engage with financial partners to drive alignment on product usage and troubleshoot and resolve technical problems or breakages.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

3+ years of professional experience in a technical role, such as Technical Operations or Software Engineering, or a technical user-facing role, such as Solutions Architecture or Integration Engineering.
Ability to write high-quality, scalable code.
Expertise in SQL and data visualization, with proven experience analyzing complex datasets.
Familiarity with developer tools such as Git.
Strong technical problem-solving skills, including the ability to understand technical systems by reading and writing code, reviewing documentation and partner specifications, debugging, consulting domain experts, and analyzing raw data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong interest in understanding root causes and building durable solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with accounting, financial reporting, and/or compliance domains.
Experience using large language models (LLMs) to streamline processes and reduce manual work.
