About the Team
The Risk Program Management Office sits at the intersection of Operations, Go-To-Market (GTM), and Risk Compliance teams. Its mission is to help users meet evolving compliance standards in a complex regulatory environment by coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across Operations, Product, Engineering, GTM, and other teams.
The team is expanding into new markets as part of one of Stripe's strategic priorities. This work is new, fast-moving, and high-ambiguity, involving high-impact projects on a global scale and programs at the intersection of compliance, strategy, and execution.
Responsibilities
New Markets Program Management
- Own end-to-end program management for new markets across Stripe's roadmap, focusing on the APAC region.
- Drive operational readiness across workstreams, track milestones, surface risks, and unblock dependencies.
- Navigate high ambiguity in a zero-to-one environment by determining the appropriate approach where no playbook exists.
- Build repeatable frameworks, playbooks, and reporting standards to support a growing and complex portfolio of markets.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Represent the team in senior-level conversations across Stripe with strong judgment and accountability.
- Coordinate across Risk teams, including Operations, Product, Engineering, Strategy, and others, to ensure alignment and execution.
- Partner with stakeholders to maintain momentum across a fast-moving roadmap.
- Facilitate alignment across teams with competing priorities, resolve ambiguity, and ensure clear ownership throughout execution.
Operations
- Identify operational impact, conduct gap assessments, and address other operational considerations for launching in new markets.
- Ensure operational readiness across a complex portfolio of programs, including forecasting, monitoring, and last-mile execution.
- Maintain high operational rigor and execution discipline.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in a high-performance environment managing complex, cross-functional programs or initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguity and build from zero to one, with a track record of determining the right approach when no playbook exists.
- Strong program management skills, including tracking and driving multi-workstream initiatives, surfacing risks early, and keeping stakeholders aligned.
- Strong cross-functional leadership experience aligning Product, Engineering, GTM, and Operations teams toward shared goals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write concise one-pagers and present credibly to senior audiences.
- AI fluency, including active use of AI tools to accelerate work and the ability to clearly explain how and where they are applied.
- Experience working across global teams and time zones, including flexibility to join calls outside standard Singapore business hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with international expansion, market entry, regulatory, or licensing programs.
- Prior experience at a technology company; fintech or payments experience is a plus.
